up-to-bracketWhy Isn’t My Invoice Uploading?

If you're having trouble uploading your invoice to Roopi, don’t worry — we’ll help you get it sorted fast. Below are the most common reasons why an upload might fail, and how to fix them.

📁 1. Unsupported File Type

Roopi currently accepts the following file formats:

  • PDF

  • PNG, JPEG, and CSV.

Fix: Make sure your file is saved as a supported format. If it’s a Word doc, spreadsheet, or other format, convert it to PDF first.

📏 2. File Is Too Large

Invoices must be under 10MB.

Fix: If your file is too big, try:

  • Compressing the file

  • Resaving it at a lower resolution

  • Cropping unnecessary pages or graphics

🧾 3. File Is Blurry or Illegible

Roopi’s AI needs to clearly read the invoice to extract details. Blurry scans, dark photos, or handwritten notes can cause issues.

Fix:

  • Retake the photo or rescan the document

  • Use natural lighting or a scanner app for better results

🔄 4. Upload Failed Due to Connection Issues

Sometimes a weak internet connection can interrupt the upload.

Fix:

  • Check your internet connection

  • Refresh the page and try again

  • If the problem persists, try uploading from another browser or device

🔒 5. Security or File Permissions Issue

If the file was downloaded from another tool or received via email, it might have restrictions or be corrupted.

Fix:

  • Open the file on your computer to check for errors

  • Re-export or re-save the file

  • Make sure the file isn’t password-protected

✅ Pro Tip: QuickBooks Sync

If you're using QuickBooks, you don’t have to upload invoices manually. Just connect your account and Roopi will automatically pull in your invoice data.
