# How Signers Receive Email and SMS Notifications

Signfeld ensures your signers never miss a document by delivering smart, multi-channel notifications. Here’s how it works when you send a contract out for signature.

**📧 Email Notifications**

As soon as you click **Send**, each signer receives a secure email with:

* A **custom subject line** (editable when sending)
* Your **personalized message** or instructions
* A **magic link** that takes them directly to the document — no login required
🔐 Each link is unique and secure, tied to that signer and their assigned fields.

**📱 SMS Notifications (Optional)**

Want to make sure they see it fast? Enable SMS delivery during the sending step.

* Go to the **SMS tab** in the Send Packet modal
* Enter or confirm the signer’s phone number
* Signfeld will text them a direct link to the signing page
SMS delivery is great for on-the-go clients or high-priority deals.

**🕒 Reminders and Follow-ups**

If a signer hasn’t opened or signed after a period of time:

* **Signfeld automatically sends follow-up** emails and/or texts
* These nudges are progressive and respectful — starting after 1 hour of inactivity
You can also manually nudge them from your dashboard at any time.
